It’s time for District 1 to have conservative representation on the Assembly.
Michael will work hard with a conservative approach to protect your personal liberty and property rights by guiding the Borough to utilize and reform code already in place rather than create new infringing code, ensure fiscal responsibility while advocating for lower taxes, and support industry growth and robust infrastructure through the utilization of Port MacKenzie.

Michael met his wife, Amanda, a lifelong Alaskan, while stationed at Fort Richardson, AK in 2008. Amanda said, “If you marry me, you’re staying in Alaska” to which Michael gladly agreed. After leaving the Army in 2013, Michael started his second career with the State of Alaska. Michael traveled all over Alaska as a state OSHA Industrial Hygienist for several years, worked as the Investigator for the Alaska Board of Pharmacy, and now serves the great people of Alaska as the Executive Administrator of the Alaska Board of Pharmacy.
Between working for state OSHA and coming to the Board of Pharmacy, Michael and Amanda decided to follow their dreams of owning their own business and started the food truck, Happy Bison Barbeque, which was seen all around the Valley. This also allowed time for Michael to complete his Master’s degree.
Michael believes strongly in personal liberty, property rights, small government, fiscal responsibility, and will fight hard to represent District 1 in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Assembly with these values at the forefront.
